I had a lovely stay at the resort, surrounded by beautiful tropical scenery that made me feel like I was truly in the rainforest. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, but I did experience some bumps with the service at the reception and the dining aspect, which left something to be desired. The peaceful ambiance, especially around the pool area, was a highlight. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, but dining options could use improvement.
Rooms
9.0
The one-bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious, clean, and had all the necessary amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen.
Service
5.0
While most staff were friendly and helpful, I found the reception service to be lacking, especially during check-in.
Location
9.0
The resort is beautifully nestled amidst lush greenery and the sounds of nature, creating a tranquil atmosphere while being a short drive from town.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the resort was disappointing, as I experienced long wait times and mediocre meals, especially during busy hours.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was serene and well-maintained, with beautiful landscaping that added to the relaxing vibe of the resort.

I had a mixed experience at the resort. The location is quite nice, but the service left a lot to be desired. The pool area was enjoyable, yet the rude check-in process really set a negative tone for our stay. The room was decent, but noisy, and we had issues with housekeeping. Overall, it felt like a blend of good amenities but marred by poor staff interactions and management issues.
Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and came with a full-sized refrigerator and kitchenware, which was handy. However, the noise from the pool was quite intrusive, and the walls felt thin.
Service
5.0
Service at check-in was extremely rude and unhelpful, which really overshadowed our initial arrival. Although some staff at the bar were lovely, overall, the lack of assistance made us feel unwelcome.
Location
7.0
The resort is located about two miles from the main street of Port Douglas, which offered a nice quiet environment but was a bit far for walking to shops and restaurants.
Dining
5.0
Dining options didn't blow me away. While there were choices, they felt average and not worth the price.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was nice but could use some heating as it was too cold for a relaxing swim. The gym and laundry facilities were decent, but overall the amenities felt underwhelming.

I had a lovely week at the resort with a fantastic relaxing atmosphere. The pool area was simply superb, perfect for unwinding. While the restaurant area underwent nice renovations, the dining experience had its ups and downs, especially with breakfast being less than ideal. Although the room was clean and spacious, it felt a bit outdated. Overall, a good place to recharge, although some aspects could use improvement.
Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, but it felt a bit outdated and could use some refreshing. It was clean with daily service, which included fresh towels and tea, coffee, and milk.
Service
9.0
The staff were fantastic and made everything feel easy, always smiling and very helpful, especially during the recent renovations.
Location
8.0
The resort is in a beautiful area surrounded by nature, close to the beach, although it's a bit of a trek to the main strip, taking about 30 minutes on foot.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was hit or miss; while the new restaurant area was appealing, the breakfast options were often lukewarm and not very varied.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area is great for cooling off, and the swim-up bar is a fun addition, but overall the pool could be better maintained.

I had a wonderful stay at the Ramada Port Douglas, where the tropical environment and ample activities made for an enjoyable experience. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished, although they could use a bit of modernization. The friendly and helpful staff contributed to a great atmosphere, and while the food was decent, there were some inconsistencies with the dining experience, particularly regarding indoor options during bad weather. Overall, it offers good value for money in a convenient location.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-furnished, equipped with air conditioning and fans. However, they felt a bit dated.
Service
10.0
The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure guests had everything they needed.
Location
9.0
The resort is conveniently located just a few minutes from the main street of Port Douglas and within easy reach of the beach.
Dining
6.0
The food was generally good, but the dining experience could be improved with more diverse options and better indoor seating arrangements, especially during inclement weather.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were enjoyable, especially the pool and the available activities for families, adding to a fun resort atmosphere.

5.4/10
The resort has some friendly staff members and offers decent food at reasonable prices. However, the overall condition of the property is quite poor, with run-down rooms and unclean bathrooms. Additionally, the persistent timeshare sales pitches were a major drawback, making the stay feel intrusive rather than relaxing.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were in a poor state with old furniture and a shower that was difficult to access. The bed was the only comfortable aspect.
Service
5.0
While some staff were lovely, the front desk was unhelpful and overly aggressive in promoting timeshare presentations.
Location
6.0
The resort is positioned amongst trees which provided much-needed shade, but the distance to the beach and town was inconvenient.
Dining
7.0
The food from the poolside bar was good and fairly priced, but options became repetitive over time.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt dated, with a cold pool and limited service available, making it less ideal for families.
